highway echoes
As I travel the open highway, I explore the emotional landscape shaped by migration, memory, and family. Growing up, long road trips with my family were times of connection and daydreaming. Blank signs on the road took on new meaning: symbols of absence, longing, and the silence that comes with distance from home.
Through highway echoes, I reflect on the complex feelings that arise from leaving behind the familiar—missing family and the comfort of shared journeys—while also embracing hope, faith, and gratitude for new beginnings. The empty billboards become metaphors for both loss and possibility, marking the space between what was left behind and what lies ahead.
